Income Tax Department, Aligarh was enjoying a memorable evening on 25-07-2017 during the amazing kavi sammelan. It was really one of the most fun-filled evenings that was seen to come alive. There was a quite long list of kavi that included Padma Bhushan Gopaldas Neeraj, Dr. Kunwar Bechain, Suryakumar Pandey, Suresh Neerav, Dr. Kirti Kaale, Shambhu Shikhar, Prem Kishore Patakha, Alihasan Makraidiya, Shashank Prabhakar and Harish Betab. One of the most famous poets of Hindi kavi sammelan, Padma Bhushan Gopaldas Neeraj has attained a unique position in the world of Hindi poetry and literature. Yet, he possess a great style that can be easily understood and thereby, the audience was adoring him a much. Awarded by Sahitya Samman in 1977, Dr. Kunwar Bechain entertained the audience with his fabulous gazals and kavitas. Now came a very well known Hindi poet, humorist, satirist and writer as well, Suryakumar Pandey. People enjoyed his poetry with a great zeal. Pandit Suresh Neerav rocked the stage with his real-time poetry. Prem Kishore Patakha came with a perfect dose of humour and laughter.
Now came a young but mature enough hasya kavi directly from Bihar, Shambhu Shikhar, making the audience laugh at his every word. Padma Bhushan Gopaldas Neeraj's son Shashank Prabhakar was also doing good on the stage along with the amazing poetess Dr. Kirti Kaale. Harish Betab was setting the stage on fire by his "volcanic words" full of energy and enthusiasm. People complemented him by their hardest ever claps.
